Vardan Ghukasyan’s defense attorneys filed a motion to replace the arrest measure with bail

At the Anti-Corruption Court today, April 13, the hearing in the case of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan continued and one witness was questioned.

The defense attorneys filed a motion with the court to replace the custodial measure with bail and administrative supervision, or at minimum with house arrest. They also cited Ghukasyan’s state of health as a reason.

“There is no positive dynamic in his health condition,” the attorney noted.

However, the state prosecutor stated that he does not agree with the defense’s position. One of the reasons is that the questioning of witnesses has not yet been completed, 11 witnesses remain to be questioned.
