The celebration of Vardavar, the Transfiguration of the Lord, took place in Surb Khach Monastery in Crimea. Archimandrite Taron Ghulikian, dean of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan, served a festive liturgy, the Crimean Armenian Society reports on Telegram.

Georgy Hakobyan, the head of the community, delivered a welcoming speech for the audience.

“Vardavar unites not only Armenians, this holiday is already loved by all peoples of our multinational Crimea. The joint celebration of this event shows the unity of the nationalities living on the peninsula. Thank you all for being with us today. Peace, love and kindness to all!” he said.
