Vigen Hakobyan: the UN SC Session was an informative show without diplomatic achievements

According to political strategist Vigen Hakobyan, the UN Security Council Session on the Artsakh situation was an informative show where the interested parties confirmed the positions they had voiced earlier.
“The UN rostrum was another place, where geopolitical and regional centers once again voiced their points of view. I have not heard any unexpected opinion during the discussions”, the political strategist said in an interview with Alpha News.
Vigen Hakobyan considers it superfluous to talk about diplomatic work and criticize the Armenian side for insufficient action, due to which some countries spoke about the operation of the Stepanakert-Aghdam road, equating it to the Lachin corridor.
According to Hakobyan, the UN Security Council Emergency Session was unsuccessful for the Armenian side. He mentioned that the Armenian Foreign Minister, instead of presenting political and legal components of the Artsakh blockade, spoke only about the humanitarian issues, which, of course, was not surprising, since the head of Armenia announced that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan.
“Naturally, when you don’t talk about being a guarantor of the Artsakh security and reject Artsakh, you only discuss the humanitarian side of the issue. Issues regarding the Artsakh right to self-determination do not exist in the Armenian agenda,” Hakobyan noted.
Recall that the day before the UN Security Council convened an emergency session at the request of Armenia which lasted for two hours. It is not yet known if the UN Security Council will adopt a resolution or distribute a letter to the press.
