The Georgian public television does not sufficiently cover the developments around Artsakh. There is a certain bias in favor of Azerbaijan. The head of the Armenian and Azerbaijani department of that TV company is Ramila Aliyeva from Azerbaijan, who also held that position during the 44-day war.

In an interview with Alpha News, Vrezh Harutyunov, President of the Department of Youth Unions of Georgia, mentioned that they also raised the issue of replacing Ramila with another person during the protest.

“She is an obvious admirer of Azerbaijan’s dictatorship, and even yesterday, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia issued a statement supporting him,” Vrezh Harutyunov said.

According to Harutyunov, it turns out that Azerbaijan also does not hide the fact that this person is its agent in Georgia.

He mentioned that after staging a protest in front of the Georgian public television company, the Georgian Armenians also organized a 24-hour sit-in and spent the night in front of the TV company until dawn.

During that time, the head of one of the departments of the TV company approached them and said that he was ready to submit the demands of the protesters to the council.

“During the evening sit-in, they already covered the situation in Artsakh (he means the Georgian public TV company, — ed.),” Harutyunov said and added that the TV company even prepared a 15-minute story about Artsakh, with completely different emphasis.

Earlier, Alpha News reported that the Armenians of Georgia had organized a sit-in in front of the Georgian public TV company, demanding an objective coverage of the Artsakh issue.
