We Armenians know very well that Erdogan is unreliable – Jack Hadjinian

Montebello mayoral candidate Jack Hadjinian told Alpha News that he believes the majority of Armenians in Montebello will support him in the election.
“It’s been two weeks since we started the pre-election meetings, I go to meetings with residents every day and tell them to vote for me. There are no Armenians in the Montebello City Council, and the entire population of the city is 70,000 people, of which 6,000-7,000 are Armenians. Of course, it is difficult to determine how many Armenians live in Montebello now, since they have lived here for 4-5 generations, and many do not even have an Armenian surname.
In Montebello, we have a school, a church, an Armenian center, a monument, and Armenians maintain good relations with each other. I think that the majority of Armenians will support me in the election,” Hadjinian said.
He noted that he is following the events in Armenia and is concerned about this.
“I am quite aware of the events in Armenia and I think many of those who live here are also following what is happening. People have different thinking. Some believe that Pashinyan’s steps are good for the future, while others believe that they are very dangerous.
I have concerns about Nikol Pashinyan’s leadership. Our neighbors are enemies, how can we become friends with them in one day?
I saw Pashinyan’s meeting with the Turkish president and his joy after he received Erdogan’s book as a gift. This worries me a lot.
I have talked to many people about this, and they all expressed their concerns. We, as Armenians, know very well that Erdogan is unreliable, but he is also very smart. He manages to play games with the US and Russia, and only a smart diplomat can do that.
I think there is pressure from outside for Armenia to open its borders to the Turks and Azerbaijanis, who are our enemies. And that pressure comes from England. I am afraid that the Turks will come and buy up lands, buildings in Armenia, and the Armenians will be forced to sell everything and leave their country,” Jack Hadjinian concluded.
