We can benefit greatly from US, but we should come to our senses first — Petros Hajian
We, Armenians, must defend our rights and not follow orders from the US or any other country, public figure and theologian Petros Hajian told Alpha News.
“I still don’t understand what Armenians want and what their interests are. Armenians are very far from politics. We do not have our own consciousness or ideology; we trust one force or another. Sovereignty lies in defending your rights, not following the orders of the US or Russia. And until we get rid of this, we will not achieve results. Armenia’s salvation is primarily demand and war,” Hajian said.
He stressed that Armenians should realize that Trump has already been elected, and relations must be built in a way that will make him act for the benefit of Armenia.
“Armenian democrats claim that Artsakh was surrendered by Trump, but he was not the president at the time. I believe that those Armenians who make such statements are enemies of the nation. We can benefit greatly from the United States, but for this, Armenians should come to their senses. I am talking about people who are against Trump. We must realize that he is an elected president, and we must do everything in our power to make him useful to us. To achieve this, first of all, we need to remove Pashinyan from power. He is the most dangerous person for the Republic of Armenia. We must do everything possible to protect our rights. Azerbaijan spends millions to develop, and we do nothing, although we have this money,” Hajian concluded.
