‘We can’t find a single drop of drinking water’ – Vorotan resident

During a survey conducted in the village of Vorotan in the Syunik Province, residents spoke about the issues facing their community, particularly the water crisis.

“We’re in a very difficult situation. The main issue in the village is water. We can’t find a single drop of drinking water. We all have to go collect water together at specific times,” said one respondent.

“We wash clothes by hand, both in summer and winter. If this continues, how many families will still be here by the end of the year?” asked another resident of Vorotan.

Arush Arushanyan, head of the Goris community, also noted that 50% of the work has already been completed. He promised that the work would be finished this year and the water problem will be resolved.
