The employment of Armenians in Malta is diverse—we have famous doctors, representatives of the IT sector, Suren Azatyan, a member of the Armenian community in Malta, said in an interview with Alpha News.

He noted that there is no Armenian church in Malta, but there is a khachkar (cross-stone) in Valletta. “This is where local Armenians gather and light candles,” Suren Azatyan emphasized.

Touching on the issue of language preservation, he said, “The first language of Armenians in Malta is Armenian. The more technologies develop, the easier it will be to preserve our language through online platforms.”
