‘We monitor the situation’: High-Tech Minister on closing Russian TV channels in Armenia

The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia is closely monitoring the activities of Russian state TV channels broadcast in Armenia, High-Tech Minister Robert Khachatryan told journalists.

“We monitor this issue. We know that the agreement was signed by the ministry. We will take appropriate steps,” he added.

When asked whether the topic of closing Russian channels was being discussed, he replied that all the topics were being discussed.

“There is an agreement that suggests certain actions. If there are violations, we will take these actions,” Khachatryan said.

He refrained from answering if Russian state channels threatened Armenia’s security.
