‘We need a leader like Samvel Karapetyan’ – Spitak resident

“Nikol Pashinyan does not resemble a leader at all. He does whatever anyone tells him—especially Azerbaijanis. Whatever they wanted, they got. We probably need a leader more like Samvel Karapetyan. If we had him as a leader, things would be better,” said a resident of Spitak, a town in Lori Province.

Another respondent emphasized that the country needs a wise, selfless leader who genuinely cares about the people.

“They need to think about our younger generation so we can prosper. We need a strong army, we need to arm ourselves, we’re the ones who will defend our land. There has never been brotherhood with the Turks; they have oppressed and massacred us for centuries. As of today, 120,000 to 130,000 Armenians have been displaced. Wasn’t that a massacre? It was. What fault did those people have?” he said.
