Our goal is to create a unified governing body consisting of 21 departments, staffed by qualified specialists, David Mnatsakanyan, founder of the NGO Up For Armenia, told Alpha News.

“Up For Armenia has taken on the responsibility of examining all the issues facing the Diaspora. The HayDC program is one such initiative, represented by Up For Armenia. It is a project of the Armenian Diaspora Congress, which we consider a key one. The goal is to create a unified governing body of 21 departments, staffed by professionals from within the community. As a result, together we will build and strengthen our Diaspora and also support Armenia,” he said.

According to him, overlooking the people of the Diaspora is wrong.

“Our primary goal is for the Diaspora to understand what it wants. Whether living in the United States or other European countries, the Diaspora has its own needs, and they first need to be clearly defined. We have the issue of Genocide recognition, and I don’t think any organization will ever remove it from its agenda—it’s impossible,” Mnatsakanyan said.
