‘We strictly prohibit anyone from making false and baseless statements on our behalf’ – Gugark Diocese

The Gugark Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church has released a statement condemning false accusations made against it.

“A man named Robert Aghazaryan made irresponsible and deceitful claims suggesting that the clergy of the Gugark Diocese are ready to join some vague ‘movement’ of allegedly ‘oppressed’ priests.

We—all the clergy of the Gugark Diocese—strictly forbid anyone from speaking on our behalf with irresponsible, false, and baseless statements,” the statement reads.
