‘We will create a fundamentally new political force—its formation has already begun’ –Samvel Karapetyan

The Defense Council of philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan shared his message to supporters via Facebook.

“Dear compatriots, our first rally confirmed the authorities’ greatest fear: our people are confident that they are strong and will not be broken by repression. I want to thank once again tens of thousands of my compatriots who showed civil courage on July 4 and continue to do so today.
I also sincerely thank all those who express their support for me. My message has been discussed many times these days, but unfortunately, some comments have been made that are disconnected from reality. I believe I have made it very clear: we will create a fundamentally new political force.

I have great respect for the political forces and figures who have genuinely fought against the anti-national policy of Nikol Pashinyan. But we have our own ideas about building a good future for Armenia. And we will go our own way—with our new team, not excluding internal political cooperation with like-minded allies. We will try to unite our people around just and great goals. We will reject the black-and-white and other artificial divisions imposed by this government—divisions that fragment and weaken our country.

Even within the various circles of the current regime, there are real professionals who do not share the values of the small group. However, they still do not see a way out of the situation. The formation of our political team has already begun. We will do everything in our own way,” the message reads.
