Speaking with Alpha News, political scientist Hayk Ter-Nersisyan presented the US economic strategy and the geopolitical situation.

“There are two economic approaches. The first is an economic policy that a country pursues to achieve its goals within the framework of general economic parameters. The second approach is slightly different, aligning economic policy with its foreign policy,” he said.

According to Ter-Nersisyan, globalization was once highly advantageous for the United States.

“This involves a certain sacrifice. When globalization was beneficial to the United States, global stability was in their interests. However, this model eventually allowed other countries—such as China, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and others—to begin reaping the benefits. Their economies started to improve, and they began to politically challenge the United States,” the political scientist said.
