Who is potential candidate for position of Nor Nork district chief?

Recently, reports in the press have claimed that Tigran Ter-Margaryan, the head of the Nor Nork administrative district, has submitted his resignation.

According to Alpha News, the new candidate from the Hanrapetutyun party is Marat Sevoyan, who is also a member of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteers.

Earlier, commenting on the matter, the press secretary of Yerevan’s mayor, Hayk Kostanyan, stated:

“Since we receive many calls about the potential resignation of the head of the Nor Nork administrative district, we inform you that should such a development occur, an official statement will be provided.”

On April 30, activist Artur Chakhoyan was publicly beaten by the district chief and his supporters. Following the attack, the injured Chakhoyan was detained and taken from the police station to a hospital. He was later released. The incident occurred after Chakhoyan stated that he had uncovered a corruption scheme related to the construction of a kindergarten.
