Why can’t Armenia manage TRIPP the same way it manages its other roads? – Hakob Badalyan

The published framework declaration, though outwardly quite comprehensive, raises more questions than it provides answers, political commentator Hakob Badalyan said in an interview with Alpha News, referring to the Armenian-American document on the implementation of the TRIPP project.
“The document gives the impression that, in terms of road management, there are still many important details that carry significant weight, but they have been ‘packaged’ under general and vague language,” Badalyan said.
He emphasized that the declaration does not contain clear answers to the very details that will directly relate to the management of the road.
“Without those details, it is difficult to understand what mechanism is actually intended to be applied and what consequences it may have. Armenia is involving another state in the management of a road passing through its territory. In this regard, there is no coherent explanation as to why the Republic of Armenia could not manage it in the same way it does with its other roads,” he said.
