Will taxes in the US be cut? Hayk Ter-Nersisyan explains

Speaking with Alpha News, political scientist and lawyer Hayk Ter-Nersisyan commented on rumors that all taxes will be reduced in the US.

“Trump doesn’t want to cut all taxes but to compensate for some of them by introducing tariffs, which is a kind of tax. The logic is as follows: there is a classic economic policy when they make sure inflation is not too high, unemployment is low, etc. The United States has been following this practice for many years,” he said.

According to him, today’s policy combines economic, security, and foreign policy issues.

“A new concept is now emerging, which is called economic policy, but it is different in nature. The US wants to coordinate economic policy with foreign policy and security. If we are simply looking at improving the economic situation, then here we need to make certain maneuvers and try to strengthen the position of our state, which may affect economic policy. It is possible that some goods may become more expensive,” Hayk Ter-Nersisyan noted.
