With these arrests, Pashinyan shows that he is in control of country’s situation – Kristine Vardanyan

The active phase of arrests in Armenia began with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Turkey, Kristine Vardanyan, a member from the Armenia parliamentary faction, said in a conversation with journalists.

“It is also not accidental that a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is scheduled for tomorrow. What are they negotiating behind closed doors? After the meeting with Erdogan, it was announced that the leaders of the two countries met under very ambiguous geopolitical conditions and negotiated about nothing. Can we assume that Pashinyan is demonstrating to Erdogan and Aliyev that he is in control of the situation in the country?” Vardanyan said.
