Within Samvel Karapetyan’s team, the most effective figure in terms of public attention and trust is Karapetyan himself, political commentator Hakob Badalyan told Alpha News.

He emphasized that according to the results of social surveys published by the team, Karapetyan’s rating surpasses that of Nikol Pashinyan.

“If the team has released such data, then it is clear that the candidate will be Samvel Karapetyan. As for public trust, its degree and mobilization will mainly depend on the election campaign. Everything will be determined by those interactions—how society perceives him, what kind of communication the candidate will have with his voters,” Badalyan said.

However, according to Badalyan, there is another issue in Armenia: it is important not only to earn trust but also to maintain and capitalize on it.

“The authorities will try to preserve their positions not only through legal means but also by methods outside the Constitution and the law. This is already a fact, since we are already seeing examples of such actions,” he said.
