Yerevan believes that it is pursuing a multi-vector policy, including interested in membership in the SCO. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.:

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that he considers Armenia’s withdrawal from the CSTO more likely than unfreezing participation in the organization.:

In a comment to the Mayak radio station, Peskov noted that this is a sovereign matter for Armenia.:

“But at the same time, they are interested in the SCO. That is, they are pursuing a multi—vector policy, as it seems to them,” Peskov said.
