For the fourth consecutive year, architect and artist Karine Dulyan has been showcasing her works in the United States. This year, the exhibition symbolically coincided with Valentine’s Day, setting the tone for its central theme—love.

At the heart of the artist’s canvases remains Yerevan, with its warmth and courtyard scenes, which serve as a unique bridge to the homeland for the Armenian diaspora.

“My paintings are a time machine. People recognize their own courtyards and streets in them. I propose to declare Yerevan the city of love all over the world. The city of love is not Paris, but Yerevan,” Dulyan said.

According to the artist, what humanity needs today is not just beauty, but healing art.

“The function of art is to transmit positive emotions to people and detach them from their problems. Today the world is in a chaotic state, and art must become the path through which people return to love and reconnect with one another,” she said.

Dulyan advises not to lose one’s own voice amid market demands: “Art must be sincere, not created merely to be fashionable or to earn money.”
