Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theater to perform ‘Masquerade’ in France

On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the outstanding Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will present the ballet ‘Masquerade’ on October 26-27 in the Grand Concert Hall of the Palais des Congrès de Paris, and on October 29 in the Zénith Europe complex in Strasbourg.
The Armenian Embassy in France reported this on Facebook.

“This exclusive concert will be held with the cooperation of the Armenian Ministry of Education and Culture, the Armenian Embassy in France, the Union of Friends of the Armenian Embassy in France, and the Franceconcert Company,” the embassy said in a statement.

The director of production is People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia Vilen Galstyan, the production designer is Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Avetis Barseghyan, and the conductor is Harutyun Arzumanyan.

The proceeds from the concert will be directed to support programs for forcibly displaced residents of Artsakh.
