The Armenian Foreign Ministry commented on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s statement alleging that the Armenia-EU strategic partnership agenda undermines the peace process.
“The EU-Armenia agenda reflects deepening cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, based on shared values and mutual interests. It reflects the EU’s commitment to supporting Armenia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, democracy, and socioeconomic resilience, and contributes to efforts aimed at further consolidating peace in the region,” spokesperson Ani Badalyan said.
The ministry noted that the negotiations were completed back in June, and that the joint statement of the Armenia-EU Partnership Council welcomed the August peace summit in Washington as well as the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
