Residents of Yerevan have blocked Anastas Mikoyan Street and the Yegvard Highway to voice their protest and discontent over the lawlessness, injustice, and corruption of the city authorities.
The residents of a complex comprising six residential buildings located at 64 Anastas Mikoyan Street have been deprived of their right to common share property, which was intended for the improvement of the area. The developer, N & S CONSTRUCTION LLC, allocated the plot intended for landscaping and improvement but subsequently sold it to another affiliated company, KAER Mining LLC.
The protesters are demanding that the state, local authorities, and law enforcement agencies ensure their right to common shared ownership of the 3.37055-hectare land plot, as approved in the project documentation and established by their purchase rights.
They are calling for a legal review and annulment of the transaction, the transfer of ownership in strict accordance with the Armenian legislation, a transparent and impartial investigation into the offenses committed, and the implementation of legal accountability measures as prescribed by law.
