On September 2, 1991, Nagorno-Karabakh was proclaimed a republic at a joint session of the Councils of People’s Deputies of the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the Shahumyan region, which was confirmed by the Declaration of Independence adopted at the first session of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s Supreme Council.

The problem of the existence of the Armenian Artsakh not only maintains its profound significance but also dictates the imperative of making new nationwide commitments and preventing this destructive process.

The “Return” meeting organized by the Supreme Body of the ARF of Armenia, which will be held on September 2 in the Harsnakar complex, seeks to assess the challenges of the historical day in the most difficult situation, as well as to present approaches and proposals on the problems and political solutions of the Artsakh problem, on the nationwide obligations and implementation of the fundamental rights of the Artsakh Armenians.

The Armenian state figures as well as representatives of various spiritual and social circles are invited to the event.
A documentary film about the events of September 19 will be shown to the audience, and a number of Artsakh state cultural groups will perform.
