‘Yet another step of shifting responsibility’: lawyer on video posted by prime minister
The video posted by Nikol Pashinyan has no legal significance, lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan told Alpha News.
“The video posted by Nikol Pashinyan has no legal significance. If there was a leak of information containing state secrets, we could have discussed it. It is not excluded that a state secret was discussed through those same communications. If this incident happened, one day it will be revealed. In this particular video, there is no information either in the Prime Minister’s speech or in Arshak Karapetyan’s answer, and there is also no data that makes sense to discuss at all. What is seen in the video does not mean any answer at all,” the lawyer said.
He noted that Nikol Pashinyan’s actions are childish, he shared screenshots to prove himself right.
“Arshak Karapetyan’s answer had nothing to do with what the Prime Minister said. If we comment on this briefly, spreading screenshots to prove that you are right is the logic of minors with some personal issues. Another question is what actually happened on November 14. If, for example, Arshak Karapetyan had to report something that he did not do and, as a result, he was in danger, then he should not have just been fired; he should have been criminally liable if his actions could not have prevented the border incident or further losses.
If nothing like this happened, it is pointless to discuss all this. If it did happen, we need to understand why the law enforcement agencies and the Prime Minister, who had this information, did not initiate criminal proceedings earlier so that the person who, according to him, is guilty of border losses is held accountable,” Khudoyan said.
The lawyer came to the conclusion that the video posted by the prime minister has no importance for the state.
“This once again stems from the fact that these conversations do not have any importance for the state. And from a social point of view, it is just one of the many steps to shift your responsibility to other people by using screenshots,” the lawyer said.
