‘You deceived us’ – citizens’ harsh response to Nikol Pashinyan

“I would say: you deceived us, nothing more,” said survey participants when asked what they would say to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan if they met him.

“I would say: lead the country properly. We do not want reconciliation with the Turks. Let the borders open, but Turks cannot come and stay in Armenia,” one citizen said.

People emphasized that they no longer consider Pashinyan their leader and have nothing left to say to him.

“I would simply say that a pensioner should live with dignity. You cannot support a pensioner with 40,000 drams—it is not enough for medicine or utilities. Without our children’s help, the pension would probably not last even a few days,” another respondent stressed.
