‘You have earned the love and respect of our people’: Karekin II congratulates Samvel Karapetyan on his 60th birthday

You mark this significant milestone while enduring unjust imprisonment for your courageous stance and unwavering spirit in defense of our Holy Church.

Unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to visit you and personally convey our best wishes. But together with our clergy and faithful, we offer our prayers for you. We have no doubt that you are strong in spirit and unyielding in your inherent perseverance and principle. The Almighty God has generously blessed you and bestowed many favors and gifts, gracing your life with significant successes and achievements.

You have earned the love and respect of our people through your efforts for the benefit of the nation and the Homeland, being honored with the high title of national benefactor. You have also devoted your righteous service to the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Your love for the Church and for Etchmiadzin is both exceptional and creative, and it has already been inscribed in the brightest pages of modern Armenian history,” the message reads.
