‘You’ve been governing for six months—where are your savings?’ – Ghazinyan

Attempts are being made to tarnish Samvel Karapetyan with false claims, former Acting Director of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), David Ghazinyan, said at a press conference.

According to him, neither loan interest rates nor bonuses for the board of directors are included in the tariff. “They are not included, dear compatriots, you are being misled. They want to discredit Samvel Karapetyan,” Ghazinyan said.

He recalled Nikol Pashinyan’s April 2018 statement, made while still in opposition, promising to reduce electricity tariffs by 20%, and posed a question: “Fine, let’s assume we managed things poorly. But now you’ve been governing for six months—where are your savings?”

Ghazinyan also expressed concern that the authorities had terminated contracts with local factories that had already begun exporting. “In every normal country, domestic production is encouraged,” he noted.
