‘We have agreed with Baku that the next section to be delimited will be determined by consensus’: Mher Grigoryan

 
Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, in a conversation with journalists in Parliament, commented on what will happen if Azerbaijan does not ratify the Regulation of the Delimitation Commissions or ratifies it with reservations.

He stressed that the process of ratification of the Regulation of the Border Delimitation Commissions is proceeding synchronously.

“I just do not know at what stage this process is in Azerbaijan, but the logic of signing suggests that it should happen synchronously. I do not think it will be delayed,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Grigoryan added that there are fundamental issues on which consensus should be reached. 

“We have agreed with Baku that the next section to be delimited will be determined by consensus. Until this consensus, it simply makes no sense to continue discussing details,” he added.

It should be noted that on October 21, the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations is discussing the issue of ratification of the Regulation on the joint activity of the commissions on delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Earlier, the Constitutional Court considered the Regulation not contradicting the Constitution of the country.
