‘Longing For’: Peto Poghosyan’s exhibition in Los Angeles

On November 9, the exhibition of artist Peto Poghosyan ‘Karotov’ (‘Longing For’) opened at the Saryan Cultural Center in Los Angeles. The watercolor works presented at the exhibition are Armenian fragments created with soul, reminding visitors of their homeland. In his welcoming speech, Founder of the Center Ashot Geghamyan said that the exhibition was supposed to be organized in the summer. He commended the organization of the exhibition.
“This exhibition of Peto Poghosyan, a participant in numerous international exhibitions and biennales, warms the hearts of everyone,” Armine Geghamyan said in her opening remarks.
The exhibition was attended mainly by US-based Armenians as well as artists and businessmen.
Actor Ashot Adamyan, who has recently moved to the United States, unable to hide his feelings, thanked the artist for presenting Yerevan that he misses very much.
Singer and songwriter Armen Movsisyan told Alpha News that he has been familiar with the artist’s works for a long time, adding that they both come from Gyumri and that his longing for homeland is reflected in Peto’s paintings.
The exhibition will last until Saturday, November 16, and the artist will gladly welcome art lovers and homesick compatriots every day from 1 to 7 p.m.
