Lavrov and Fidan discuss prospects for cooperation in South Caucasus

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the prospects for deepening cooperation in the South Caucasus were also discussed during the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.

“We paid special attention to confidence building between the sides, restoration of infrastructure and transportation communications, as well as joint activities within the 3+3 cooperation platform in the South Caucasus,” the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized during a press conference.

Lavrov added that both Russia and Turkey were pleased with the achieved level of cooperation on the Syrian issue.
