Armenia may become an art center – Karine Dulyan
My exhibitions in Los Angeles are mostly visited by Armenians, the nostalgia they feel for Armenia and the warmth in their eyes make me very happy, architect and artist Karine Dulyan told Alpha News.
At the same time, she noted that at her previous exhibition, most of the visitors were not Armenians; there was a large flow of people of different nationalities.
“Art is meant to heal a person, to evoke positive emotions. I feel that art is again becoming a space where a person can have fun and soothe their nerves. I believe Armenians can play a significant role in art, and Armenia can become a center of art. Now the art sphere in Armenia is flourishing—people are painting on the streets and in public spaces, hosting events. Thanks to social media, the art sphere in Yerevan has become more active,” Karine Dulyan added.
