The Financial Times advised tourists seeking new destinations to embark on a “dizzying journey to Armenia.”

“This is a land of generosity: the oldest Christian nation on earth and a cradle of civilisation. It is this dizzying mix, the overlapping of histories and cultures, empires and atrocities, that makes the place so rich,” the publication states. It also notes that “the country is carving out a bold future from its complicated past”.

The article’s authors mention Khor Virap Monastery and the cemetery of ancient cross stones in Noratus, Dilijan and Gyumri, the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, and Lake Sevan.
