Samvel Karapetyan is not only a citizen but also a resident of Armenia – lawyer

Philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who was arrested in Armenia, is not only a citizen of the Republic of Armenia but also a resident, which is a very important circumstance, lawyer Aram Vardevanyan said during a press conference.

“Samvel Karapetyan’s center of interest is the Republic of Armenia, according to the certificate issued by the State Revenue Committee. This is an important circumstance since a person, in this case a prominent businessman, can carry out his activities in many countries. We should take this into account,” the lawyer said.

According to him, the criminal prosecution of Karapetyan harms Armenia’s international reputation and rating.
