Arsen Bagryan takes bronze at 2025 World Wushu Championships

Armenian athlete Arsen Bagryan (60 kg) claimed the bronze medal in the sanda discipline at the 2025 World Wushu Championships. The competition took place in Brazil’s capital from September 1 to 7.

Bagryan secured confident victories over competitors from Egypt and the United States. However, in the semifinals, he was defeated by an opponent from China, earning the bronze medal.

The Armenian national team also included Zhirayr Petrosyan, David Vardanyan, and Avanes Zakaryan.

Notably, Arsen Bagryan, David Vardanyan, and Zhirayr Petrosyan are reigning European champions.
