“I want to inform you that the public has not paid any interest on loans taken by the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA). All interest payments have been covered by the owner,” said David Ghazinyan, former acting CEO of ENA, during a press conference held by the legal team representing the company’s owner. He emphasized that the owner personally contributes 150 million AMD each month to the salary fund.
Ghazinyan was responding to a statement made by ENA’s temporary manager, Romanos Petrosyan, who claimed that billions had been saved. “That’s not true—no money has been saved. The current management team of ENA simply decided not to pay the contractors,” he noted.
