After a 14-year break, the Yerevan circus is making its comeback in a brand-new building that meets modern international standards. The premiere of the theatrical-circus show Eternia will take place on October 25, marking the grand opening of the state-of-the-art, multifunctional cultural and entertainment center, Tashir Arena.

“When the Tashir Group acquired the building of the Yerevan circus, it was in a state of disrepair and unsafe for use. After conducting research, the decision was made to demolish the old structure and build a new, safer one—which is exactly what the Tashir Group began to do. The building was constructed in a relatively short time, but then came the challenge of equipping it technically. Samvel Karapetyan set a goal: to outfit it with cutting-edge systems. This launched the phases of design, procurement, installation, and testing. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the events in Artsakh affected all these processes. Still, I believe all expectations have been met, because we achieved our goal: we now have a high-level, safe building equipped with new technologies, designed to host events of various formats not only for Armenia but for the entire region,” said Tashir Arena’s General Director, Hrachya Arshakyan.
