Robert Simonyan becomes world champion at Sambo Youth and Junior Championships in Indonesia

Robert Simonyan (58 kg) has claimed the world champion title at the Youth and Junior Sambo World Championships, which kicked off in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Armenian Sambo Federation reports.

In the final match, the Armenian athlete defeated Tajikistan’s Anushervon Nazarzoda with a score of 5-2.

Earlier, Gor Shatveryan (71 kg) secured a bronze medal.

The World Championships in Jakarta began on October 2 and will conclude on October 6.
