We propose peace with control mechanisms – Robert Kocharyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today speaks of a peace that largely depends on the mood of one person, Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan said during a press conference.
“What kind of peace is Nikol Pashinyan talking about today? He speaks of a peace that largely depends on the mood of one person. This peace depends on Aliyev’s mood, since in these documents—and in general—there are no guarantees, no guarantors, no mechanisms that would define what to do in case of violations. This so-called peace entirely depends on the conscience of one person. That person might have a bad dream one night, something else might happen, and he might decide that in this chaotic world, the issue of Zangezur can be resolved,” the president said.
When asked what alternative he proposes, Robert Kocharyan replied, “We propose a peace with control mechanisms. No one is against peace, but it must have guarantors who will be responsible for the implementation of agreements. They won’t just be witnesses—they will bear responsibility. There are no guarantees from the United States.”
