New FIDE president visits Armenia’s Chess Academy

Timur Turlov, the new president of FIDE, visited the Chess Academy of Armenia, where he familiarized himself with its work and chess development programs.

Turlov was presented with the academy’s educational programs, coaching resources and chess popularization projects.

The sides also discussed Armenia’s experience in introducing chess into school curricula and mechanisms for retraining teachers.
