Samvel Karapetyan is not only a political prisoner but also a hostage – Arman Tatoyan

There is no legal basis in the charges against philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan; they are merely legal formulations of political directives, Arman Tatoyan, leader of the Wings of Unity political movement, told reporters.

“I believe this was a long-planned move with clear political statements and instructions,” he said.

According to Tatoyan, Samvel Karapetyan is being held like a hostage.

He noted that by depriving the businessman of his freedom, the Armenian authorities are pursuing a specific goal—to prevent Karapetyan from continuing his activities.
