Samvel Karapetyan’s detention extended by 30 days

The detention of philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan has been extended by 30 days. This decision was made by the Anti-Corruption Court, presided over by Judge Vahe Dolmazyan.

“The court established today that both the second and third episodes of the charge have not even crossed the threshold of reasonable doubt. As for the calls, the notion seems to be that this month-long extension follows the logic: ‘either conclude the case and send it to court, or terminate it altogether,’” said Karapetyan’s defense attorney, Aram Vardevanyan, emphasizing that the investigator’s petition was only partially granted.
