Discussion ‘Armenia and the Region: On the Eve of a Choice’ in Los Angeles

Edgar Elbakyan and Varuzhan Geghamyan held a discussion in Los Angeles on the topic “Armenia and the Region: On the Eve of a Choice.”

“I believe our community here has a need to hear the right words, meaningful words—become familiar with the real situation in Armenia. This is a unique opportunity when our experts come here, and we take advantage of it to make the audience aware of everything happening in Armenia today,” political scientist Robert Margaryan told Alpha News.

Lala Yeremyan, a member of the ARF “Nikol Aghbalyan” Union, stressed that such discussions are an opportunity to maintain the Armenia-Diaspora connection.

“We understood the role and importance of spreading sound scholarly thought and discourse in the Diaspora, since its absence was strongly felt. We are far from the homeland, it is difficult to maintain those ties, and we are often busy, but this was at least a small opportunity to preserve that connection,” Yeremyan said.
