Rafael Arutyunyan inducted into US Figure Skating Hall of Fame

Armenian American coach Rafael Arutyunyan, who has worked with many of the world’s leading figure skaters, has been officially inducted into the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

The ceremony took place in St. Louis during the US National Championships. This honor is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of figure skating. Arutyunyan was inducted as part of the Class of 2026 alongside legendary Olympic champion Nathan Chen, with whom he achieved outstanding results on the international stage.

Throughout his career, Arutyunyan has trained and mentored a number of exceptional athletes. In addition to Chen, his students have included global figure skating stars such as Michelle Kwan, Sasha Cohen, Ashley Wagner, and Mao Asada.
