A group of 53 investigators has not carried out any actions involving Samvel Karapetyan, announced businessman’s lawyer Aram Vardevanyan.

“A question arises: when you initiate criminal proceedings and bring charges, you must realize that a person is innocent until proven guilty by a court verdict that has entered into legal force. It is obvious that in this case we are simply dealing with a formal accusation, aimed solely at keeping the detention at all costs. That’s all—there is no other substance here. Another issue is that 53 investigators are in fact involved in this monstrous, malicious, and shameful action,” Vardevanyan said.

According to the lawyer, the investigative body is demonstrating complete inactivity.
