Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly thanks Turkish Foreign Minister for supporting Pashinyan

Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, speaking to journalists in parliament, expressed gratitude to Turkey’s Foreign Minister. He was responding to remarks by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who stated that Ankara supports Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“I thank the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and all regional partners who support the calls of the majority of Armenian society for advancing peace, promoting trade, and developing this trade within the framework of TRIPP,” he said.

Earlier, Fidan said: “As is known, elections will be held in Armenia in early June. This will be an important step, and according to polls, Mr. Pashinyan is the frontrunner. His constructive role in this matter is supported. It is essential that this course, this will, continues.”
