Artsakh sambo athlete Arman Avanesyan among IWGA’s best athletes of 2025

The International World Games Association (IWGA) has announced the official results of The World Games Athlete of the Year 2025, determined by thousands of passionate fans worldwide.

Representing Armenia, Artsakh sambo athlete Arman Avanesyan secured sixth place with 15,439 votes, demonstrating the strong support of the international sambo community throughout the competition.

The medal winners were:

1. Gold – Victoria Chavez (Mexico), Flag Football

2. Silver – Marius Andrei Balan and Khrystyna Moshenska (Germany), DanceSport

3. Bronze – Laura Burgos (Mexico), Muaythai
