Artur Sargsyan wins UWW Ranking Series tournament in Tirana

Artur Sargsyan claimed victory in the 97 kg weight category at the UWW Ranking Series Muhamet Malo 2026 tournament, held in Tirana, Albania.

On his way to the title, he defeated Azerbaijan’s Mohammad Ahmadiev (7–2), America’s Michial Foy (8–0), Kyrgyzstan’s Uzur Dzhuzupbekov (9–0), and Iran’s Amirreza Moradian (3–2). The final bout against Kiryl Maskevich did not take place, and Sargsyan was declared the winner by default.
