For more than 20 years, the Armenian Evangelical Church Missionary in Artsakh sponsored by the Armenian Missionary Association of America organizes summer camps. This year, despite great hardships, besieged Artsakh once again managed to organize a camp where children could enjoy summer holidays as well as experience spiritual growth. Camp days start at 10.00 AM and end at 15.30 PM.

Campers are students of a Sunday school. Angelina Danielyan, who is in charge of the Askeran Christian education center of the Armenian Church in Artsakh, told Artsakhtert that young group members from the center work with children, carrying out their mission with responsibility and love. Children in the camp never get bored. They are engaged in different games, singing, dancing, poetry, handicraft, theater and spiritual lessons.

“The aim of the camp is to bring the young generation closer to Christian values”, Danielyan said.

The annual camp is called Unseen Planet. Children “visit” different planets every day, with each of the planet having its own name. These are planets of kindness, sincerity, forgiveness, obedience and perfect love. Children are learning to forgive, obey and love.
